You will both taste and see the difference the Breville JK120 Brita Filter in silver makes ... more
to your tea or coffee. Using the new Brita Maxtra cartridge in the kettle you'll enjoy your hot drinks with the purest water and the cleanest taste - say goodbye...
Advantages: Water filer, stay warm feature, colour ilumination Disadvantages: Only holds 1.25 litres of water
I bought this kettle to replace a Breville Lightning kettle.
I was originally going to buy a filter jug as well until I discovered that you could buy a kettle that filters the water before boiling.
The Kettle comes with a Brita Maxtra Cartridge and a voucher for £2.00 off is included in the pack. I made the mistake of buying replacement cartridges at the same time as the kettle as I did not realise that the cartridges last one month.
The Cartridges cost roughly £6.99 for two.
The kettle has a 3kw fast boil element so it does boil quite quickly, it is however quite noisy but you soon get used to this and don't notice after a while.
The kettle only has a boiling capacity of 1.25 litres due to the Filter cartridge but I have found that it is adequate for a small family.
It is more compact than the other filter kettles that ...
Advantages: Beautfully designed, illuminated, fast boling and very quiet kettle. Disadvantages: None!
capacity kettle which is very good in my opinion and it also has a 3000w fast boil element in it. It is a very useful cordless kettle I find that allows me to just lift it off its base and move it freely to wherever I want it. It has an easy, removable, anti scale filter inside the kettle also.
The Base Unit.
The base unit to the Breville Spectra kettle is well made and off thick black plastic. It is round in design and cannot be seen when the kettle is resting on it. It is used instead of a plug that fits into a kettle, which allows your kettle to be cordless. It really is a good base unit. You do not need to set your kettle central on it. You can plunk it down on it, in any direction and it will still work when you hit your on button.
The only fault I find with the base is the cord that plugs into your wall socket is only about one ...
Advantages: fast-boiling, easy to see water-level, pleasant blue glow when switched on Disadvantages: Only lasted 11 months, then light stopped working! Measurements in cups not litres.
I purchased this jug kettle early in 2008, and at first was very pleased with it.
I'd previously listed all the features I wanted in a jug kettle, and this ticked all my boxes.
It's cordless, fast-boiling, easy to see water-level, the lid opens easily for cleaning. It has a 360 degree base for left-handed or right-handed use, concealed element inside making it easier to clean, and automatic cut-off. I hadn't wanted to spend over £20, and this was £16.99 in Robert Dyas. I'd wanted a white jug, which this is, and the gentle blue light which glows from the window while it's switched on, I find very pleasing. It's 1.7 litre capacity, and the measures on the window indicate cups, the minimum being 2 cups, and the max is 8.
I have one small niggle, and that is that I would have preferred the measurements to be in litres, but ...
