Advantages: Looks nice, light weight, light effect is nice. Disadvantages: VERY noisy, hard to fill for one or two cups, difficult to see fill level.

My husband switched it on when it was completely empty ... ...in it. Also i think the light effect makes it harder to see the fill level. I was keen to have one of these kettles with the light up window, but having had one i wouldn't bother again, having the green light on all the time is a good thing if you like to switch off at the plug, but we don't , our plug is allways on, but we felt we had to switch it off at night, i felt like it was on otherwise.

...this one. Being a Breville I was expecting it to be a high quality product and I have not been disappointed. It illuminates red when it is boiling and blue when boiled which is great as I know that I have definately turned it on and when it has boiled. The filter is very easy to remove and clean.
