This sandwich toaster satisfies in a major way!
My first experience of sandwich toasters was as a teenager when my Dad bought a Breville. We then spent every weekend coming up with new recipes for toasted sandwiches!
As a adult with my own family I bought a little known brand, 2 round ... Read review

...spare cash and saw this Breville Quattro in a local store and bought it with no hesitation. Whilst it is on the bulky side and it can be quite difficult to store because of it's size it is extremely easy to use being a great "plug and play" item. The unit heats quickly, toasts quickly and cools again quickly. The bread stays where it is put while you close the lid down to start the cooking process, so you get even sandwiches, not mishapes which leak ... ...makes are like no other sandwich you will ever make. I don't know whether it is the design or shape of the plates but you get no limp, flat sandwiches here. Every sandwich is prefectly formed, deep and fluffy. Every sandwich seals perfectly - even if the slices of bread are not quite the same size due to them being end of loaf etc. Plus you get to make 4 rounds at a time so there are no disappointed faces waiting for the next 2 rounds to heat!

Advantages: perfect for making a 4 person snack Disadvantages: non as yet
Only had this sandwich maker just over a week, but it's been helpful already.
We are all partial to our snack sandwiches in our household, but were always finding it a bit awkward to for us all sit at the table together and eat at the same time, This was due to the fact, that when we wanted to have a toasted snack we only had the regular double sandwich maker.
That was until I spotted this little beauty whilst browsing the Argos web site for gift ... ...my brother's family and one for our home use.

Excellent if members of your family prefer different filling, its cutting and edge sealing action is far superior to my old one, which prevents contamination of different food spilling on to other sandwiches.
It doesn't take long to reach optimum temperature, ...

...4 rounds. We choose the breville and have had it for a few months. We use it on a regular basis as it is ideal for a hot quick snack. The machine has a nice rounded design with a built in handle which makes it easier to get it in and out of the cupboard. During storage it can either be stored flat or it also has feet on the bottom so it can also be stored standing up. The electric cord can be wound around the base for tidiness.
Overall the machine ... ...during cooking with a latch. This means is seals the bread better to prevent leakage. However, there is always the inevitable cheese ooze. The plates are non stick so you should be able to remove your cooked toasty easily and they have a cutting action to slice your toasty for you. It's a shame that the plates cannot be removed as this would help with the cleaning. The toaster is easy to use and the instruction leaflet includes a basic tip advice ...

I've recently started a diet, and as part of my new healthier lifestyle I've decided that I need to eat more fruit and vegetables. The only trouble with that is, that I'm not that keen on them in their whole raw (or cooked) state, so I decided I needed... more
