I have always loved toasted sandwiches, but have not owned a machine for a few years. I recently purchased the breville and have nearly lived on them for days. This model is very easy to clean. The plates slide out for easy cleaning, although most of the time they only need a wipe as the plates are non stick. It also heats up quickly and seals the bread well. It is a great way to have a light snack, and can be healthy. The fillings can be anything that you fancy, but you can't beaat a strong cheddar. The lead could do with being a bit longer, as i have to use an extentsion lead. My only complaint would be about the bread manufacture's. I have found warburtons medium sliced to be the best fit. If the bread doesn't fit you end up with the filling on your work surface.
