I have just bought this toaster a week ago because my old one burnt out. Although the cost was £41:99p I wanted one that pushed the look of a quality build onto me. Others just seemed to reflect light. When you look at this BrevilleTT68 you emmediatly see the build quality is there. Before its pluged in you will see that the sides are covered with a clear plastic that is actually Pollycarbonate stuff. normally the silver sides collect finger prints and it looks dirty even after one use. This is easy to wash therefore looks clean all the time. When you start to use it, you will find the slots are extra long for that bread that wont fit a lot of other toasters. At the bottom there is a crumb tray which is a must. There is also a cancel button if you decide to cut the toasting lenth down sharply. The thing I like is the blue LED lights ...

Advantages: It is really easy to use without reading the manual, durable and easy to clean. Disadvantages: The hinges tend to loosen when used on hard bread and the product takes time to heat up
In my experience the Breville TR48 is very convenient to use, it was a major deference from other toasters I have used in the past I didn't have to wait on end only for the bread to come out overdone or underdone, I can check easily from time to time if I am too impatient.
I was able to introduce a lot of innovation to my toasting, I can put in raw eggs, onions, sources and toast at the same time, it is incredible in making sandwiches. Since the ingredients are included the toasting seals up the edges and I don't have to deal with hard edges of the bread and no leakages, everything is sealed within the sandwiches. For the price I paid it is really good value for money. ...

Breville is an excellent make and when it comes to toasty makers is the only one to buy. They make a quick, easy and tasty snack.
I have the stainless steel and black TR48 which matches my other appliances in the kitchen. It has 2 deep fill plates so you can put in 4 pieces of bread. I have no problems cleaning this at all. its very easy. You simply remove the plates after they have cooled by unclipping and washing them and clipping back in place. The plates are non stick so i never have problems with the bread sticking. I once made a tuna and cheese toasty which turned into a bit of a mess but need to try it again :)
It has a power on light and a ready to cook light, you put your sandwich in and leave it until the light comes on again and its always golden brown.
I bought it on sale so paid £20. ...
