Breville VST012

I had owned my previous old fashioned Breville sandwich maker for about 20 years, it was still up to the job but no matter how much I cleaned it, I could just not remove the greasy residue left from melted cheese, so I thought it was about time it went in the bin. We have always had quite cheap sandwich toasters but my partner is definitely one for the latest gadgets and when we visited our local Currys store a few months back, he came away with a Breville VST012 Sandwich Press. Did we need this? No. Was the sandwich toaster we had at home sufficient enough? Yes! He decided he wanted this though as it ‘looked cool’! Having given up with trying to de-crust my old toaster I finally put it into the bin.So off I went, kids in tow,and rather thoughtlessly and hurriedly (without my usual research) bought us this 'Breville cafe style Sandwich press'. When I got it home I must confess I was a little disappointed.WHAT NO TRIANGULAR SLOTS???
