This is the first Nora Roberts Book that I have read, and I will definately be reading more. The author also writes under the name J. D. Robb and has written over 190 novels, and you can look at her website - www.nora-roberts.co.uk

I work in a local library and was about to put this book back on the shelf after a customer had taken it back, when I read the blurb at hte back. It looked a good one so I decided to take it out. I started to read it, but it was only when I worked the following week and looked at the other Nora Roberts books on teh shelf that I realised that this book is the fourth book in a series of four books called 'The Bride Quartet'.

This book focuses on the main character, Parker Brown, and her three childhood friends, MacKenzie, Laurel and Emma. I think if I had known that these books were in a series of four then I would have preferred to read them in the right order, but really I do not think that it matters to be honest whether you read them in the right order to or whether you even read them all. The book begins with a prologue that lets you see what has happened before, so it's very easy to get into.

Parker's parents are now dead, but Parker still lives in her childhood home, which is a mansion. She, along with her three friends, has turned her childhood home into a wedding venue. Her three friends live in their own quarters, along with their partners (including Parker's brother, Delaney, who is getting married to Laurel. Emma and MacKenzie are also to be married too - all obviously catered for by their own business and at their own venue.

Parker wonders, although very briefly as she is so busy with her business, if she will ever marry and she does meet somebody in the book - although you will have to read it yourself to see if anything comes of it.

It is a really good read, although the only things that I thought I could have done with knowing is what happened to Parker's parents (I believe they died in a road crash but do not know when or how it happened), and when and why Delaney punched Emma's fiance, Jack when they started to go out. I think that these are questions that would have been answered had I read the previous books. Other than that, the book is very really to follow.

During the book, one of the girls' weddings - MacKenzie's - takes place, so reading about one of their own weddings is really nice. I found the book very inspirational, not in the sense of getting married as I've done that already and do not know if I want to do it again, but from the sense of the girls building up their own business. They have everything thought about and taken care of and it made me think, 'I'd like to do that!'

As I said, I got my copy of the book from the local library, where you could try too, or you could try ebay or amazon. Definately worth a read.
