I bought this gym for my daughter probably aroun 6-8 weeks ago, we already had a musical/light up one but wanted one with a mat so she could roll around a little bit more. Found this one on offer at Amazon for £19.99 delivered so snapped it up!
Has two arches (one pink patterned, one green) with 4 'hooks' available to hang toys on. It also has one in the centre where the two arches join. The mat itself is very slightly padded, is made of a satin material and has a pink flowery design on which is quite sweet. It also comes with 6 toys to hang on the arches which are:
Water filled heart shaped teetherThe large sun flower has two volume settings and three noise settings-you can have it o a setting where it makes bouncy and boing noises every time your baby hits it, one where it plays a song every time your baby hits it, or one where it plays music continuously.
Very easy to assemble when you get it, and does come with a clear instruction booklet. If you want, you dont have to have the arches, you can just use it as a mat, and it has little hooks around the edge so you can attach the toys (when I say hooks, I mean little fabric loops that you can thread the clips through)Elyssa (my daughter) is 5 months now, and loves to roll around on it. It's not the biggest of mats, so she does seem to roll off of it quite a bit, and she has discovered a new game where she lines herself up, pushes with her feet really hard on the green arch and it trys to close in on itself. Because she is led on the mat, it doesn't happen, and the arches are so soft, I would not be worried if this did happen (and trust me-I worry about everything!!) The only thing that would worry me is if she folded it on herself and the mat were to fall over her face, but as long as you are in the room, this wouldn't happen.
Overall, I think this is a sweet gym to have, the toys are in easy reach, but not too close that she gets lazy-they are the perfect distance for her to practice her 'grabbing'. The mat is nice and soft for her to roll around on, and she loves the giant sun that plays tunes. I think it is still on offer at Amazon, I dont think I would really want to pay anymore than £20.00 for it. Only thing I would like to improve on it would maybe be a larger surface area, and possibly a few more things on the mat which may have helped her to roll over for them a bit quicker (although saying that, now she's learnt how to roll, she does not stop which can sometimes be a nuisance lol)Would recommend this :-)
