Brio Wooden Train Track Set! Oh yes, that is PERFECT! My little toddler will have HOURS of fun building his own train track and putting little trees and houses around it...OH AND LOOK, it even has parts where you can make cars cross over. Cool Beans, a bridge too! And bricks on it. How cute. Aww that is so sweet. Yup...my little boy is getting that for Christmas. Whats the price? WHOA! Welcome to the world of MAJOR Christmas present, and little or nothing else, not even a turkey but a chicken, a VERY SMALL chicken for Christmas dinner at that price. But, he is worth it. These things are ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages none maybe too expensive

Hello, have you come to play with me? Today I am playing with my brio train set. Shall we play with it on the floor or on the table? I prefer to play on the floor as I can lay it all out and get really involved. My Brio train set is made out of wood its very expensive I will tell you about that later lets get on with playing a game. Lets start by making a basic circle we need 8 pieces of the wooden track look how easily they link together like a jigsaw Shall we put that red engine on the track you can put the wagon on it there move the train round the track its got a magnetic coupling when you ... more

Advantages Advantages Trains look great, easy to set up, lots of expansions available

Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive than similar competitors

Any young child, from age 2, will love the Brio range of wooden train sets. The range is huge, although you may find that individual shops only stock a few items, so you may need to shop around to get the track layout and accessories you want. The track and trains are compatible with most other 'lesser' brands, but the quality of the Brio pieces is very clear in comparison - they fit together more snugly, leading to a more stable track and generally look better. The trains are high quality, finished with chrome details. Bridges, tunnels, level crossings, etc are well-built and should withstand ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be added to to make a larger track

Disadvantages Disadvantages can get a bit expensive

Excellent train set that is very hard wearing and extremely durable, my daughter plays with hers inside and out cant fault them at all. We have bought extra track pieces and trains, in fact we need a bigger room to store the track in, the great thing is that the train set can be set in so many styles bends, curves, bridges etc dont need to be placed in the same position over and over again. THe trains are all magnetic so all you need to do is pull the front engine making it easy for little ones to play. There is such a huge variety of track and accessories to buy your little ones will never ... more

Advantages Advantages Sturdy, easy track assembly, runs well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Light dim, rather slow

My four year old was delighted to get one of these for Christmas, but not as much as me! A train that is truly kid-friendly with tracks which he can assemble and rearrange himself. What more could a mom wish for? With his other trains, I would constantly be called to reattach tracks (he's a rambunctious preschooler) or replace batteries. Not with this one. The batteries died last week and he still hasn't looked up from the fun to ask for new ones. I think he actually prefers driving it by hand than having it go on itsown. He loves pretending that its the Polar Express and uses it to act out ... more
