Advantages: well written and enjoyable Disadvantages: too short
...Eragon is book one of the Inheritance Trilogy about a young boy who finds a Dragon egg in the mountains near his home in a magical land called Alagaesia. The egg hatches for his and he has to set about the tasks of becoming a dragon rider, evading the evire emperor Galbatorix's forces and gaining refuge with the rebels known as the varden and destory the evil spirit possessed magician known as Durza the Shade.
This book is compelling and exciting and is very well written, with detailed characters, innovative magic and several languages that Paolini created himself especially for the story including Dwarvish and Elvish otherwise known as the high speech.
The book is very good and leaves you craving the next book wanting to know what becomes of the evil of the wound eragon gains after defeating Durza and his urgal horde in the home...

Advantages: Great book. Lots to read. Amazing fantasy world. Disadvantages: not really any cons
...This is a magnificent story with a good storyline. I read it whilst on holiday to island. When bored, I could simply read for hours. This is the first book in the 'Inheritance trilogy', and the second book, 'Eldest' is being worked on at the moment. The world in which this book is set is one of the best I have come across, most of which are small scribbles of a map thought up in a few minutes. It's obvious to me that Cristopher Paolini has put a lot of work into it. This is a Must Read for anyone who enjoys fantasy books. I simply can't wait for the next book to come out. This is great for a gift or simply if you're short of books to read....

Advantages: gripping story line that will surely take to another world. Disadvantages: at times the autho went into too much detail about the surroundings, but for some that's good
...When i first heard of the inheritance books i must admit i didn't really pay much attention to it but i decided to give it a go anyway and i am very happy that i did because it was one of the best reading expeiences of my life. Young master Paolini is an extraordinary writer who should be given all the praise that is due to him for these extraordinary two books and we shall all be eagarly awaiting for is next release wich promises to be just as exciting as the first two. when i started reading ELDEST i just couldn't put it down anymore i found myself reaching for it in the mornings before going to work, at lunchtimes and before going to bed, even while i was working i coulnd't stop thinking where would master paolini take me next. this book continues the story of eragon and his young dragon sappira while they ride trough the land...
