I bought a car from BTC that cost £5000.00. It was only 2 years old with 21,000 miles on the clock. The salesman promised the earth to me. If I left the car with them for two weeks before I collected it they would sort various things out such as filling in a scratch on the paintwork, new wheel covers and a full valet amongst various other things. On collection nothing had been done to the car since I last saw it! and I had made another 3 hour journey for no reason whatsoever. It was also missing several things such as a manual and a jack and a toe rope loop etc. So, I went back down to the salesman who proceeded to take these things out of another car of the same model, therefore leaving some other unsuspecting person without them! When I eventually drove away in my new car I discovered it had many things wrong with it including the fact that I was driving with my feet in a puddle of water whenever it rained. They made me make another 3 hour journey to leave my car with them yet again to fix it, claimed they had, and hadn't. They had only dried it out to make it look as though some work had been done. I phoned again to report the persisting problem and they told me I must be stupid and must have spilt a bottle of water in the car as my car wasn't leaking! Eventually I took it back to leave there again (another 3 hour trip to take there and 3 hour trip to collect it) hoping that this would be the last time. During fixing it (as funnily enough they found a leak) they damaged the paintwork and bent the corner of the hatch. They took it back again to repair the damage they had done (another 4 days without my car) and then left the water jets disconnected inside the electrics of my back brakelight. All this time they were 'fixing' it I was without any car at all. I wrote a seven page letter listing the problems I had encountered with them from careless work to sheer ignorance. They didn't deny any of it but won't even give me cash compensation to cover the costs I incurred because they know I can't afford to take them to court.
YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE THE STRESS THEY CAUSE!!!! -I am still full of anger and frustration when I see their adverts - and I dealt with them years ago! I know I am not the only one to experience these problems with them. All the other reviews I have read have said the same thing. Even speaking to work colleagues when I mentioned BTC they said "Oh, you didn't!" and preceeded to tell many tales. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES!

(+) loads of cars, great choice, friendly helpful staff no pressure, fantastic prices. (-) can get very busy on the weekend, we had to wait to be served, best to get there early.
