You could say that I am very conscious of what food and drink I put into my body, especially since my heart attack a few years back. I then decided to do a lot of research on heart disease and discovered that prevention is better than cure for all disease and all it would take is a little discipline on my diet. I did not want to keep taking the heart drugs for the rest of my life and have since stopped, but this is not something I would recommend if you’ve had heart problems unless you talk to your doctor and heart specialists. When I came out of hospital, I came across a report on the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great tasting water,no impurity no chlorine..

Disadvantages Disadvantages lcd timer batteries running out and changing filters

Well where to start, I live in the south of england in what I consider a damn hard water area. I always avoided drinking our tap water because of its Chlorine treated taste and if I did drink it,it would normally only be with Ribena or orange squash so as to mask the taste. At the beginning of last year I decided on a Britta Jug it set me back £10 with a few filters to get me started. Advantages Advantages Turns chlorine laden bilge into sweet drinkable water

Disadvantages Disadvantages Remembering to chnge filters every 4 weeks

We saw a Brita Mistral filter reduced by a few pounds in Safeway, along with a 4 for the price of 3 pack of cartridges so we decided to try it. The difference it makes is tremendous. Our ghastly, stinking North Surrey Water finest is now sweet and delicious. I'm never one for going over the top so believe me, it does work exceedingly well and the fltered water produced tastes really fresh. These things use ... more

My old water filter is a casualty of building works, it got crushed. So when I was in tesco’s I decided to buy another. They only had 2 on offer both britta filters I bought the family 2 litres for £11 when the kitchen is finished we intend to get a filter to put on the drinking water tap. This filter jug is a round shape difficult to fit in fridge is made of plastic clear at the base, the lid and holder for the filter and unfiltered water is white. The waterspout for pouring is quite wide I have used it to fill my kettle for tea and coffee. The water tastes fine it is clear not cloudy ... more
