We don't have water from the mains here at our house and get ours from a water tank on the hill about two miles away.
This can get dirty in summer as the tank gets lower, this water filter will be great to filter any impurities that manage to make its way into my tap water.
I'm a cheeky person and managed to find out the price of this water filter, 14.99p from Safeways.
You get two free ... ...the water filter, so I think that's a good bargin.
When you first open the box, you have to wash all the parts in soapy water, rinse then soak one of the cartridges in cold water fully immersed for 20 minutes.
When this is done, your ready to use the water filter. Insert the cartridge into the funnel and press down untill it fits snuggly. Place the funnel into the jug and fill the funnel with tap water.

I live in quite a hard water area and find that the water is only drinkable using the filter. The taste of the water is vastly improved, mainly because the filters take out all or most of the limescale. They last for about a month before needing... more
