Advantages some good entertainment

Disadvantages some rubbish too

After just watching this years show again tonight for the start of the new series I was yet again amazed by the brilliant hidden talent that some of the british people have.

The show itself is on ITV1 at 7.45 until 9.15 on a saturday night and hosted by Ant and Dec and the acts are judged by Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. The show is on for a number of weeks and the judges choose who they think to be the best to go through and the acts are then shortlisted for the final, the finalists then perform and the winner then performs in front of the queen in the royal variety performance.

Some of the acts that are on are not particularly great to watch in terms of talent but are very funny to look at as you end up in stitches laughing at them and bemused as to why they would think they have a talent in the first place!!

On the other hand some of the acts are fantastic, I just saw a dance act named Flawless which were a bunch of lads dancing like professionals and a greek father and son team that came on stage calling themselves Stavros Flatley, they did irish dancing but in a comedy style it was hilarious and truly great to watch and both acts had standing applause by the audience and judges.

There are no limits to the kind of acts you see like dancing, comedy, singers, acrobats, strippers, male belly dancers...like I said all sorts, basically if they THINK the have a talent...whatever it may be then this is the place to air it.

Ant and Dec just top the entertainment off, I love everything they do from their saturday night show to their I am a celebrity get me out of here, they just make a great team in whatever they do together and Britains got talent is no exeption.

I like the judges too although I do get fed up with seeing Simon Cowell everywhere and always talking about how he knows best all the time and eyeing up the ladies.

For saturday night entertainment this is pretty good and I find it nice to watch something a little different.

Well worth a viewing.
