I worked for British Airways for nearly two years, at Heathrow, Terminal One. My job was that of Customer Service Agent (CSA) and I checked in passengers and also boarded flights for both international and domestic flights.
BA is a very good company. It has built it's reputation and sincerely deserves to be the British flag-carrier. I can honestly say that the customer service provided by BA is second to none. That old adage really ... ...Okay, admittedly, BA does occassionally hit the press big time: losing famous people's luggage, etc. However, if you think of the millions of passengers that BA carries, the percentage of complaints is minimal.
My first contact with BA was through their personnel office, which is situated at Cranebank, in the grounds of LHR. They sent me an application form to complete and then asked me to come for an interview at Cranebank. The interview consisted ...

...are several drawbacks to a British Airways placement: the living expenses are quite high as the only placements I knew of were in and around Heathrow Airport, I didn’t get any help with finding anywhere to live (although there are plenty of rooms advertised locally because of the number of cabin crew in the area), and due to cutbacks industrial placements were being limited to a year so you can’t work for the full 15 months between the end of the ...

Advantages: Great service in a crisis Disadvantages: nothing at all
...AIRLINE!!!
I've been flying with british airways now for about 4 years. In that time i've had nothing but second to none service, the staff are so nice and helpful. For some reason the media (especially BBC news) hate britih airways, if something happens within the airline industry the media are there right outside of BA's offices!!!
But they have great lounges, great wines and champagnes on offer and all in all great service.
They once lost my ... ...was not the fault of BA, it was the handling agents at manchester airport) but they couldn't do enough for me, every couple of hours they called me to tell me where my bag was and when i'll have it, which i thought was excellent customer service, they even paid for me to buy new clothes ($700 worth) gave me $600 and 20,000 airmiles for the inconveince they didn't cause me!!! ...

Advantages: excellant customer service Disadvantages: ? none
i think British Airways is absolutely fantasic!
Their range of flights and planes are truly amazing, and the customer service they offer is truly outstanding. They offer many different services, including economy, business and first class. Even the economy class - which is the most popular, is up to scratch! Their in-plane service is great, and even though flying may be a little expensive, you get good value for money. The food is like any other ...

Advantages: Reputation, timing, variety, destinations Disadvantages: None that I found so far
I think that British Airways are excellent.
I have had the pleasure of flying with the airline on many occasions on long haul and domestic flights.
Each time I have found that the service has been exceptional and second to none. If I had a choice of airline I would always fly BA over any other.
I have recently flown with them to NY and had a good flight. The flight left on time, arrived on time and the whole flying experience was great. The cabin ... ...BA uniform - very nice.
The flight was economy but seats were comfortable and I had a reasonable amount of leg room - enough not to feel cramped and upset on the 7 hour flight. I had the choice to fly with another airline for about £50 less but chose to pay the extra purely for reputation - it was worth it.
I have also flown Club World, again to US. What an experience. A 6 foot flat bed, own TV with DVDs, larder and Molten Brown toiletries. The ...
