Britney Spears Radiance Eau de Parfum

I very rarely buy celebrity perfumes. I find that if I don't like the celebrity then I have no interest in their perfume. This has applied to all the Britney Spears fragrances that have come onto the market, I just don't like her music ( apologies to Britney fans). Then a few weeks ago I received a free sample of Radiance, her latest perfume. I threw it in my drawer and forgot about it till one evening last week when I gave it a try and was very pleasantly surprised.

Obviously my little freebie is just a tiny glass tube but the bottles of Radiance are much more flamboyant. It reminds me of a very fancy whisky decanter. Its covered in blue and pink gems (fake of course) and has a blue lid which is cut to look like a large crystal. I cant make my mind up as to weather its pretty or tacky. I could imagine the younger teenager liking it, its very girly. It costs £28.00 for 50ml's in Boots.

Cashmere woods
Amber
Musk

When I first sprayed the perfume I could immediately detect the berries. The fragrance was very sweet and fruity. After a while the floral notes kicked in. These are absolutely gorgeous, the jasmine is the strongest aroma. Its fresh, sweet, summery and very feminine. Radiance is described as being " sensual with unforgettable femininity" and I would totally agree with that. When the base notes develop you get a warm musky fragrance with floral tones mingled. Its a very pretty fragrance that, in my opinion, would suit a younger lady.

I do have 2 small gripes with Radiance though. Firstly its not strong enough for me, I would like to smell it a bit more when I'm wearing it rather than having to actually put my nose to my wrist and sniff, and secondly it doesn't have very good staying power. It only just lasted an evening. I was only round my Mums house so it didn't matter too much but if you were on an evening out you would definitely need to re apply during the evening.
For these 2 reasons alone I would be put off buying this perfume which is a shame because it really does smell lovely. Of course if you hate floral fragrances this one is not for you but for those floral lovers it's a beautiful fragrance.
In future I'm will judge a perfume by its smell not by the celebrity selling it.

Summary: A nice fragrance but no staying power.
