Advantages: Combined Fax/answerphone, good paper handling Disadvantages: Print quality only satisfactory, expensive consumables
...Our office fax machine gave up the ghost recently. It was a BT Paperjet-60, and while we had been fairly happy with it, it lasted less than two years. Wanting something a little more reliable, and being very pleased with our two Brother laser printers, we opted for a Brother T86.
WHY A COMBINED FAX - ANSWERPHONE?
Before the BT Paperjet 60, we owned a fax machine without an answerphone built in, and went through 5 different answerphones trying to get a combination that worked. Frequently, the answerphone would collect faxes on tape, and the fax machine would try to receive answerphone messages, or neither would work at all. In the end, we chucked the lot and opted for a combined machine. Like our previous machine, the Brother has a built in answerphone. For some reason the elctronics industry like to refer to an answerphone...

Advantages: Very economically priced, Has many features usually associated with more expensive machines, Reliable Japanese brand Disadvantages: Paper jams occasionally whilst receiving messages
...Last month I made an extremely useful acquisition in the Brother FAX-920.
I have now been using it for over 6 weeks and I felt it was now time to share some information with you on something that I have certainly not regretted buying.
First of all let me touch on the appearance of the machine. The body is in a sleek black colour and the size is good enough to fit comfortably on your desk or table without occupying too much space and at the same time not looking too small. Just the right size if you get what I mean.
It uses plain paper and this being the standard A4 Photocopy/Laser type. These papers are available at all stationery shops and are not expensive. Mine came with 100 sheets of paper included and I am sure that this is the case with most shops which sell this machine.
One of the features that most impressed me...

...I really don’t know where I would be without my brother, he is very reliable, always there for me, takes messages for me when I’m out, he is so perfect. Yes you may have quest by now my brother is a machine.
I purchased this wonderful machine about a year ago; I needed to get a new fax machine, as my old ones days were numbered. I was given the old one and it was very big and took up a lot of room, as it was an office machine, but did its job. I looked around for some time until I found the perfect one. This model is much more than just a fax machine, it is also a telephone, and messenger and photocopier all rolled into one, which is brilliant. No more going to the library to get copies done, no more missed telephone calls; it’s a godsend. I will explain about the functions available.
The Telephone Key Pad...

Both my partner and I had been using the Dell all-in-one printer than came with her computer for some time. It was ok. It obviously printed in colour and had a scanner. However, I was becoming pretty annoyed at how much ink it used up when only... more
I've wanted a new printer for a while but am fed up of paying more for print cartridges than the printer itself so I have ordered and just received a Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer.

What we have here is the Brother MFC-7420 Multifunction digital laser device. Try saying it in one breath. Go on, I challenge you to say it in one breath.
Did you manage it?
If you did then you probably deserve a medal, but then so would 'Brother'... more
I have been impressed with this device - when I bought it brother had a 200 pound cashback promotion which was excellent as I bought the device for the cost of most inkjet rivals.
This device offers very fast colour and black and white prints. Unlike more
