Coupled with uncompromising, up to 21 page per minute laser printing at up to 2400 x 600 dpi (HQ1200), the DCP-8040 is the right choice at the right price. ...We run a small office, and originally bought two Kyocera FS-600 laser printers for printing the small quantity of technical manuals that we produce. The Kyocera drums are supposed to be super-environment-friendly and last for 100,000 pages. Sadly, this proved not to be the case. After our fourth drum at a total of only 60,000 pages, the first printer was out of guarantee and we looked around for something else. Cost is of course important, but to us, print quality is a number one concern. After comparing lots of print-outs in PC World, we opted for a Brother HL-1250. This printer ran wonderfully for a year, but when the drum needed replacing it turned out that we could buy a brand new Brother HL-1440 for just £20 more than the cost of a new drum. ...This review is of the cyan colour of ink which is the blue-ish colour cartridge you have to get for your printer. The actual name of this cartridge is the brother lc 600C, obviously then this only fits inside of brother printers and there is also a limit to what brother printers this one can actually go into.
You can use this cartridge with any of brothers MFC 3100C, MFC 3200C, MFC 3200J, MFC 3220, MFC 3320, MFC 3420, MFC 3820, MFC 580, MFC 590, MFC 880, MFC 890, MFC 5100C, MFC 5100J, MFC 5200C, MFC 5200J.
It also works with brothers 1800C fax machine too.
The great thing about brother ink is not only is it great quality and can get you some great prints as well as some great quality photos with normal ink like this, but the best thing is how cheap it is.

...The Brother HL-1450 is, as far as printers go, attractively styled in it's plain beige, no-frills casing and due to it's compact size will prove popular with those who have limited desk space on which to store a printer.
The standard HL-1450 features a slot at the front of the unit for feeding single sheets of paper or envelopes and a second paper tray at the base for holding approximately 250 sheets of A4 or Letter sized paper. There are also three LEDs mounted on the front casing to give status messages and the ubiquitous reset button (if buying one of these printers you will get to know it well).
