Advantages: Cordless phone, quick document scanning Disadvantages: small recording time of answering machine
...The BrotherFAX-1560 is an inkjet fax machine with an integrated telephone as well as an answering machine. The use of inkjet technology means that your received fax documents will be of high quality, but will not be waterproof like all inkjet technology using devices. Other technologies are also put into practice on this fax machine, one technological advantage is the transmission of super fine details and the auto-correctness of errors that occur during transmission. Another advantage is the Fax machines ability to reduce long documents to A4 size.
The on-board modem delivers a 14,400 bps(bits per second) transfer speed, which converts to 14 kbps (kilo-bits per second). Which does not seem a lot, but is sufficient enough to transfer the required data. This is because all fax machines as well as this one convert documents into...

Advantages: looks like it could withstand a baseball bat attack Disadvantages: tempremental, toner finisher is poor, cannot add up, copies at a snails pace
...I use this fax machine at work and it is the cause of so much stress and tension I thought I would let you all know how I was beaten by such a plain, dull and basically annoying machine that jams on a regular basis, smudges fax transmissions and forgets to send certain important pages at random.
If you wanted to buy a BrotherFAX 8360P and I would urge everyone reading not to it would cost around £230 and for that you get the fax machine, a network cable to hook it up to your LAN and a lead to plug it into the phone network to enable transmissions. We have had our BrotherFAX 8360P for 6 months and the problems started pretty much straight away and the instruction manuals FAQ are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, as it the manufacturers support.
In theory the fax machi9ne should allow you to send and receive documents...

Advantages: Cheap toner, excellent quality Disadvantages: does not like cheap copy paper to print on!
...Having recently started my own business, i was on the look out for a good value fax machine. Having had a Brotherfax machine at my previous job i was impressed by its reliablilty and the cost of consumables.
Whilst looking at rival fax machines, i could not find one that matched the excellent specification or price.
The printer can be used as a multifunction device, however i only utilise it as a fax machine. However i have the back up that if one of my printers breaks down i can use the machine as a back up it could also be used as an emergency scanner or photocopier, although you can only feed sheets through it, so its use is limited on these points.
The only slight niggle i have with the machine is that it does not seem to like my cheap copy paper that i use, and it sometimes requires that i only have one sheet in the feeder...
