The Brother HL-1030 Laser Printer represents excellent value for money and produces excellent print outs at an affordable cost.

It boasts 10 pages per minute but in reality it is about 8 PPM for an average text doccument. Toner cartridges are about £35 each and will last for about 4000 pages. The printer setup allows you to make 25% or 50% toner saving, this produces a lighter more grey print but is excellent for draught copies. Printing on full toner produces print outs comparable with much more expensive printers.

Connects via USB or serial port and is simple to install. Paper jams are rare but easily cleared.
