This is a printer built to replace the earlier models. It now comes in what looks like trendy grey, but dont let that make you buy it. It is a very good little workhorse and works best with (in my experience) original toners and drums BUT the memory is quite small (16mb) and the build quality isn't the best. However if you can get one on a deal (Viking direct or similar) then it isa well worth its money. Print quality is quite good but the warnigns for toner/drum life are too short and you may find yourself stuck without print capability if you dont have a spare. I havent used it as a network printer as I dont feel it is 'man enough'. I like the Brother printers having used them for several years.
This one should have been a better step than it was, a little disappointed. I wouldnt really recommend this to a business unless it was relatively small. We will be looking at the 5000 series for our next printers, however price is very definitely a key issue there.
All in all if you can get this on a deal from a supplier then you shouldnb't be disappointed. I wouldn't expect to pay over £100 for one of these in fact probably nearer the £70 mark.
