What impressed me when i first used this machine was the duplex printing feature, The fact it was so simple to print on the front and back of a page with a couple of clicks, and also a really easy feature for the printing of booklets, with just a couple of clicks. Duplex printing is also very fast and the margins of the page are not increased by using duplex. The style of this printer is as appealing as a desktop printer can be, The edges at the top of the device are rounded and the color seems simply to fit in with an office environment. The one criticism with the style is the glossed part at the front gets finger prints and other marks very easily.

The paper tray is much larger than that of my previous printer (HP laserjet 4 Plus) and can hold 250 sheets of A4 or letter paper. The paper tray slides in and out of the device relatively smoothly. Access to the device is easy in the result of a paper jam or fault with a click open panel at the side of the device for access to the ram and other chips and a further click open panel at the rear to handle any paper jams.

This printer does not have a networking plug, just a USB and a Printer parallel port. Replacing the toner and drum is simple, they can be accessed through the front of the device and easily slided out and replaced. The drum has a life of approximately 25,000 pages and the toner is available in both 3,000 and 8,000 page capacity. This printer also has usefull printing features such as watermarks. The standard driver, provided on disk makes this printer easy to install although i believe this printer is able to run with the generic drivers provided in windows vista and windows 7.
