...Last night whilst trying to print out documents on behalf of my brother (Claiming his bank charges back for him now see previous review for advice) my Lexmark printer gave up the ghost and just refused to print. I had bought it from Argos about 8 months ago so decided to dig out the receipt and take it back for a refund. I was happily surprised when Argos agreed and told me to choose another printer that's when I noticed the Lexmark P4350 all in one color printer. So needing to only put £10 towards it I snapped it up at a bargain price of £49.99 most retail it around the £100 mark at the moment.
SETTING UP
------------------
When I got home I decided to give the football on telly a miss(Lucky didn't miss much lol) and set up my new printer and oh how easy it was. After taking it out of the box and clipping on the front display...

Hard as nails Review ofMaxtor OneTouch III FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 500 GBby

Advantages: Tough, easy to use, fast to back-up Disadvantages: Setting up the software preferences can take a little while
...There are a lot of external hard drives out there and choosing the right one can be confusing. The Maxtor One Touch III in my opinion has two advantages over many others. Firstly, and the reason for buying one myself, was its durability. We all have the occasional accident so its good to know that when we accidentally drop it on the hard pavement as we're getting into the car that we haven't just destroyed our equipment and more importantly all our hard work stored on its massive 500GB drive.
Secondly, its One Touch software makes it extremely easy to back up your files fast and eficiently. You can specify certain folders to back up and when you hit the button on the front it will search for any files in those folders that are not present on the drive and back them up for you automatically. Theres really no excuse not to back things up...

Advantages: fast, spacious and very quiet Disadvantages: none really...
...I purchased this drive last September from Dabs for £72.47 including P&P and it was delivered very quickly (I have always had good service from Dabs). The drive seems well designed, the metal silver casing seems strong and durable and looks OK too. As already mentioned in other reviews the only possible downside I can see is the bulky plug but the drive is not intended to be used as a mobile storage device so the plug doesn't present a problem when the drive is placed on your desk. The drive size LED on the front is a little pointless, why do you need reminding the drive is 500gb in size - surely it would have been better to just use a normal LED light to show activity or actually show how much space was remaining on the drive.
I installed the drive in seconds, you just need to plug the power cable and the USB cable in and away you go...

Well what can i say. I chose maxtor because i thought it was a good named brand and would be reliable. Plus the fact they have been taken over by seagate who have been in the hard drive business forever. With these two factors you would think this would... more
