...A fascinating and at times horrifying story. New material and a forerunner of SAS life before the later periods mostly described in the literary avalanche following the Iranian Embassy siege at Princes Gate. A puzzling thing is this, that although the text strikes one as very convincing, there are three errors on firearms calibres and two on firearms capacities - which should be unforgetable - drilled into every soldier's head, or at least those who have handled those weapons: .38mm describes a handgun in one part of the book - of course this is .38". The sub machine gun (Sterling) is described as having 20 rounds in the magazine - whereas it can take 30 (tightly, granted). The Browning service pistol is described as 7.62mm - whereas it is 9mm. Advantages: Bruce's depth of knowledge
Disadvantages: Some of the information can be quite hard to understand

...This is definitely one of my favourite books ever. I've just bought my second copy of it. Bruce wrote the majority of this book while confined to his bed after suffering quite a severe back injury in 1970. It is made up of notes and sketches of Bruce's thoughts in all the areas of Jeet Kune Do, including training, warming up, preparations, mobility, attack and also some of his famous philosophy. The book was never finished by Bruce himself and has been comiled by his wife Linda. This book has been an inspiration to me, I am a Bruce Lee fan and i study martial arts but feel this appeals to anyone of similar interests. It is good to pick up and read everyday for a little inspiration.... Read review
