As your baby approaches his first birthday it's important to start thinking about how to encourage him to fine tune the variety of skills he's learnt in his first year - and this is a great toy to start with.
As I've said in a previous review about Bruin toys, they always rate very highly in my book for their colourful, imaginative and safe approach to learning and entertainment. What really makes Bruin a cut above the rest is the competitive prices they offer.
The Bruin Bear Stacker is a very simple and inexpensive toy priced at just 3.99. What makes this toy extra special is the thought that's gone into the design. Firstly the purple stand that the hoops sit on has a moulded base to prevent it from constantly falling over as some similar toys do. Secondly the hoops are slightly different sizes and the stand is tapered in shape so that only the largest hoop can fit at the bottom, the second largest can only fit three quarters of the way down and so on.
My little boy started to fine tune his hand-eye co-ordination by grasping the hoops and trying to get them onto the stand and then went on to logically deduce which order the hoops should go on in - a great way to get any baby thinking for themself. As with all Bruin toys, you also have the advantage of helping baby to learn colours by naming the colour of each individual hoop as he tries to place them on the stand. To top the toy off there's a Bruin Bear head which not only serves to make the toy more attractive but is a handy way of keeping all the hoops on the stand together when not in play.
I've had this toy for six months now and it still looks just as good as the day I bought it which says a lot about the durability and high quality of materials used. This has to be the best hoop stacker I've come across and for 3.99 you're just not going to get a better bargain. I'd
recommend every Mother adds this to their baby's first birthday shopping list.
