My parents have decided to pay for a second line, so when we are on the net, they can still have phone calls coming in. It’s been a real nightmare for us to listen to everyone moaning about how whenever they phone the line is engaged. And some people even say ‘oh we called and the line was engaged’ and I bet they didn’t ring.

I suppose the benefits of having a second line are well worth it, for instance we normally get a phone call from my friend in Canada, which means we have to stay of the net, as we don’t know what time she’ll ring. By having a second line both our parents and our friends are happy. And ofcourse it means we can stay on the Internet for longer.
