I bought this router from a local Argos shop at an emergency situation i.e. I want it now and therefore not at the best price - 49.99.
Reason: My all singing and all dancing Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wirelessrouter had lost its main function, 'internet connectivity' after a month or so of continuous use (see my other review, now updated, for details). All is left is wireless communication i.e. useless. The return of this router back to Amazon caused me a week (lots of emails + recorded delivery + check that the refund includes the recorded delivery etc)
For Argos, there is an obvious advantage - if there is something wrong with it, I just take it back for a refund/replacement on the same day.
This router comes with detail instructions (step-by-step) for installation however it does not cater for the presence of a firewall ...
Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives Disadvantages: Bit expensive, Not full speed with every machine

The Belkin N+ router is one of the higher end (consumer) wireless modem router offerings from Belkin. It cost me £85 from PC World, but can probably be found for a bit less if you shop online. The Cable version costs a little less. Reason I bought this one was because two PCs in the house with wireless cards kept losing the wireless connection when I was using a Linksys router (my own PCs / laptops were fine though!). I replaced that with a second hand Belkin, which worked fine but unfortunately, a power cut killed the wireless on it. Liking the performance of that cheaper Belkin router, I decided to stick with Belkin and get this one!
DESIGN
The router looks very stylish and stands up tall rather than laid down flat. It doesn't appear to have been designed to be laid down flat like many other routers, which may be to ...
I'm an IT network engineer, where I had to test the BuffaloWHR-G54S that will be implemented as a solution and product solution is used for home or SOHO user.
In terms of external physical, WHR-G54S is very sweet and simple. so in terms of the placement can place anywhere .
If the security system that was one of the reasons for the selection device, the BuffaloWHR-G54S could be one of the alternative solutions that are simple and do not need enhancement any more. Level security WHR-G54S is possible to hide the port with the is in the router. but there is one port that does not hide in the port 113, but this port remain closed.
At BuffaloWHR-G54S firewall is quite good, both port security, speed and packet data transfer stability. This is seen from the fact that features Firewall, IDS, NAT, to AOSS DHCP Server.
