I bought this router from a local Argos shop at an emergency situation i.e. I want it now and therefore not at the best price - 49.99.
Reason: My all singing and all dancing Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wirelessrouter had lost its main function, 'internet connectivity' after a month or so of continuous use (see my other review, now updated, for details). All is left is wireless communication i.e. useless. The return of this router back to Amazon caused me a week (lots of emails + recorded delivery + check that the refund includes the recorded delivery etc)
For Argos, there is an obvious advantage - if there is something wrong with it, I just take it back for a refund/replacement on the same day.

Clients within 2 - 3 metres with good line of sight repeatedly connected at 125MBs. On my home network this includes a client connecting from 3.5 metres through a stud partition.
Stability
Please note: These routers when sold by PC World (and Argos I have been told) come with a firmware ...
Advantages: Easy to Setup up, strong wireless signal Disadvantages: No Power Switch
We have been thinking about having broadband for quite a while and have at long last got round to it, it wasn't that we used the net a lot but that was partly because our dial up connection was so awfully slow, so it was a kind of catch 22 situation.
I decided that it would be nice to have wireless to save us having to restrict our surfing to the study (box bedroom) and a router would be preferable as this would make connecting my Apple Mac laptop easier, so off I went to PC world. After quite a while looking up and down the numerous wirelessmodem routers (you can get a modem and a router separately if so desired but this works out more expensive) opted for the Belkin 125g model (the g indicating the latest and quickest certified wireless standard - although the better n standard is due to be certified in the near future). I paid £79 ...
