...I recently bought one of these routers after my dlink blew up, I was told by a friend that buffalo made excellent wirelessrouters and he wasn't wrong, this router works brillantly.
This router has wireless access, including 4 ports intergrated for any ethernet cable needs, its small and easy to place anywhere without it looking out of place, It has a 54mbps data transfer rate which is rather good for todays router standards, a 2.4ghz frequency band, which means it can be recieved over a good distance, but the distance can be changed using the easy browser setup.
It has many data link protocols incluing Ethernet, Fast Ethernet. IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g.
It also has many features to this device as, Firewall protection (never had a virus since using it), auto sensing per device, DCHP support, auto uplink, IGMP snooping, Stateful...

Advantages: Reasonable price, easy to use, lots of advanced settings Disadvantages: installation firewall issue, signal strengh only reasonable
...I bought this router from a local Argos shop at an emergency situation i.e. I want it now and therefore not at the best price - 49.99.
Reason: My all singing and all dancing Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wirelessrouter had lost its main function, 'internet connectivity' after a month or so of continuous use (see my other review, now updated, for details). All is left is wireless communication i.e. useless. The return of this router back to Amazon caused me a week (lots of emails + recorded delivery + check that the refund includes the recorded delivery etc)
For Argos, there is an obvious advantage - if there is something wrong with it, I just take it back for a refund/replacement on the same day.
This router comes with detail instructions (step-by-step) for installation however it does not cater for the presence of a firewall...

...I spotted this Router on Ebuyer amongst a lot of other cheap routers. Watch out as some of the cheap ones are not ModemRouters. This one is and was an excellent price at less than £40.00.
It arrived promptly and as I now have two computers running in the house and one broadband connection i immediately went about connecting the modemrouter so I could use the internet on either machine.
First thing to note is that it was actually extremely easy to set up. I opened the box and there was a very clear step by step guide at the top of the box. I was delighted that this had been included as I am not really a technical expert although I am certainly not a technophobe!
I followed the step by step guide and had my modemrouter up and running in less than 15 minutes.
When I say up and running I mean that I had one laptop connected via...

When I first heard of this product, I really wasn't convinced. First of all Netgear's claim that it can operate at 270mb which is more than 2 times that of a standard home/office 10/100mb network and a good deal more than my old 54g (30mb+/-) router's... more
What it does:- connects your ADSL connection to an internal network using either cables or wireless. The MIMO and N1 designations show that its at the bleeding edge of wireless standards so its one of the first wireless routers that is (theoretically)... more
Since i bought this I have been on the internet for more than three hours a day, its quality. i'll tell you why: You can be 50 metres away when using this so if the router is in your room you can be in your garden on the internet (routers should only be... more
