I use my PC for at least 3 hours a day and purchased this unit to allow me to back up my photos, videos and other misc files from the measly 80GB HDD in my laptop.
I have found this drive to be quiet, cool running and faster than previous external drives I have owned. It is also easy on the eye and appears reasonably robust.
It features an on/off switch and an 'auto' mode which powers down the unit when the host PC is switched off - a nice touch I have not come across before in 3.5" external drives.
My only gripe is the use of solid plastic feet which do not isolate vibration from the drive = loud humming from my desk!
