...the average hardback book. A little heavier, but I think that's forgiveable.
A quick read of the very basic printed manual, and the device was plugged in.
It's important to realise at this stage that the linkstation is Network Attached Storage, and not just an external hard disk. It needs to be connected to a router, and it needs to be connected by an ethernet cable. Fortunately Buffalo have thought to provide one. Even better, it's a flat one, so will happily run under your carpet if so required. Both Euro and GB type wall plugs are included, as is a CD with software on it.
It looks ok as well, although that's fairly subjective really. I wouldn't mind it sitting on the bookcase in full view, but my wife would.

Advantages: 750GB, 7200rpm, Hi-Speed USB, Very reliable & Easy To Use Disadvantages: None
...The Buffalo Drive Station Turbo USB HD-HS750U2 750 GB is a very useful external hard drive. I have networked computers so use it for back up and storage, which makes it easy for the networked computers to access the same data from one unit.

The external hard drive lets you back up and easily access various stored files and folders without taking up room on your PC's main hard drive. This is based on the SATA hard drive technology which is for larger capacity and with turbo USB technology, The hard drives transfer rate is much more than those of standard USB hard drives...

Advantages: Great sound. Comfortable. Good microphone. Disadvantages: Bulky.
...I had/have a pair of Plantronics HS1 Headphones for online gaming. The sound is superb, theres no need to spend £100 or more on surround sound speakers these are actually better. If your looking for a headset for online gaming that will allow you to effectively communicate with team mates while providing excellent sound then you would probably have a hard time finding a better pair for around the same price.
These headphones are quite large and seem to be fairly robust. Although I did have a problem with my pair. The leads connected to the volume control had a loose connection, however I am a heavy user and had had them for about a year.
I had to throw my old pair and after looking around I decided to buy another pair of Plantronics HS1's....
