The Pro Duo is a 2-drive NAS solution that can be configured in RAID 0 for performance or RAID 1 for redundant storage. If one drive fails, the other still has a copy of the data. As an Active Directory client the Pro Duo can be integrated into any business network and Web Access makes remote file access easy!

...I have been using my Buffalo (called 'Bertie'!) for over 4 months now, and it has worked very well indeed. Bertie is connected to my gigabit switch and is accessed by 4 other computers, and it also hosts a file sharing site too. The drive sits in a Windows environment, and is very easy to connect up. After a 15 second boot process, you access the features of the drive through a browser. All the usual tools for network drives are there, plus some seriously useful user permissions, and trashcan tools. It has hot swappable drives too (I bought a spare just in case), but this sold beast I feel will never breakdown. It's not the quietest drive in the world, but this is a minor annoyance. Advantages: Small, Capacity, Ease of use, Setup Disadvantages: None as yet!
...that are not a patch on the Terastation and would have needed much intervention and care within 12 months - touch wood - I have barely even looked at it and it still runs as if it were brand new out of the box. Recommended - And now Im off to spend this years storage budget on a Terastation Pro 2.0!...
