Meet the sock monster

Advantages: Funny, looks goood great plot
Disadvantages: NONE !!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit to liking this program, despite its juvenile approach. It consists of a couple of stories about Mr Bump(a sock monster, his pal Squishington(who lives in the toilet) and Molly(a doll). There are lots of other characters , mainly toys, who appear as well.

The program also features some good songs and some great pieces of humour. The plots are normally over the top but often quite dramatic. The aniumation is done in clay ...
...The best thing about this is that while the shows often have vague moral messages these really do take a back seat. If you like toy story then this is probably the nearest you'lll get to it on TV. Its funny, well plotted and has characters that are believable, not a usual occurance on kids TV.

This program is well worth watching and a must for any fan of silly short animations. I love it.  ... more

Things that go bump in the night

Advantages: Guarenteed stupidity and yarn spinning
Disadvantages: The events sadly lack the excitement of the buildup

Before I begin I should just point out that I am a tragically addicted follower of the show, this may well taint and warp your opinion of me and this piece but I feel that honesty is the best policy in situations like this. The show is a no-brainer really, chuck a load of people into a haunted place give them plenty of toy?s, camera?s and other gizmo?s and hope they stumble upon some haunted relic. Hosted by ex Blue Peter presenter Yvette fielding, who works in tandem with parapsychologists, historians and of course spirit medium Derek Acorah (and his spirit guide Sam but more on that later). Yvette provides much of the drama through her unimaginably consistent brushes with unseen spirits. Derek provides the theatrical role of conjuring up ludicrous tales, as given to him by his spirit guide Sam. Now those who have very little ...

Fate and Fortune, Take a Break

Advantages: full of interesting articles
Disadvantages: None

Exciting reading with interesting features but you have to ask yoursel f "Do I believe" everything that is published, At £1.60 which is reasonable for a magazine is offers value for money and plenty of reading to keep you going. This magazine should be read with an open mind, whether you are a believer or not. The advertising listed could make you spend money and not receive any important help that is said to be offered because some of them makeout they are fantastic and will put your world to right , just to make you spend your hard earned money. But one word of advice don't read it at bedtime, you have to think of the beauty sleep you need, and not listen for the bumps in the night. ...

Review of Take A Break's Fate & Fortune

Let's all pretend we've just seen a ghost

Advantages: there are none
Disadvantages: the whole programme

go "aaahh, it's.....George. George Smith..." which is followed by a message on the bottom of the screen "there is no record of a George Smith in the history of the building". Ha ha ha. This introduction bit takes up about 30 minutes, I guess the makers are trying to build the tension but only succeeds in boring me very much indeed. Finally we get to the night-time segments where various members of the team stay in dark rooms and shit their pants every time a door slams or something creaks. Sometimes they run off into the darkness......I'm going "go on, fall down the staircase, give us a good laugh" but no, they manage to get together again and huddle up to each other. To our fearless heroes' relief, daybreak comes and the footage of the things going bump in the night is clinically dissected by some expert, who usually ...
