Too predictable, lots of repetitions, no newness or freshness

In terms of loose ends, I have to say that they were not at all tied very well in the novel. I would say that Steel emphasized upon the forces of human nature way too hard in this novel. She has always been acclaimed for her strong doses of realism, but she tried to hard for this one that it turned into quite an unrealistic book. There are things that could have been worked ..."
