ProEasy to pick up, easy to play, easy to get hooked ...

ConsHard to put down.

As a self-confessed fan of Burnout and Burnout 2, I was itching to get my hands on the third incarnation of the series; Burnout 3 - Takedown. The hype was there; the game was being hailed as one of the best, if not THE best, arcade racer on the Xbox - but I‘ve been burnt too many times by games...

Consdj can become repetitive, gets very hard!

Lets get one thing straight from the start. I rock at computer games. Unless they are driving games. I am rubbish at them. I don't know why - I can drive after all! I normally just avoid them because then I can go around thinking about how great I am at games without facing up to the evil reality...

Its been a few months since I acquired my X Box. The main reason I really wanted on was for racing games and having won it in a competition I thought it was only fair to splash out £29.99 of my hard earned money on a game for it. I mean what use is an X Box without any games. So whilst in Tesco’s...

ProIncredible Sense Of Speed

ConsNot A Radical Departure From Burnout 2

The ease of play of this game was demonstrated when, leaving it for a few moments, I returned to find my technophobic Mum playing it (not very well mind you, but the fact that she'd plucked up the courage to pick up a controller was incredible to say the least). Building on the first and second...

ConsWhat Disadvantages?!

Let me first start by letting you know that this game is completely addictive. If I wasn't writing this review, I would be back at my XBox playing Burnout 3! I first played this game just this past weekend and I was completely amazed. I have played many racing games and after a while had gotten...

As the title suggests, I'm kind of neutral towards this game. In many ways it is the new generation of racing, but hasn't it gone a bit over the top? Instead of the old original raceing games we all loved, this is hardly racing at all. Instead, it consists of many different types of gameplay...

Now let me tell you something, i am a hater of racing games. Until i found this one! My cousin brought it round one weekend and ever since ive played on it. ProCrash Mode is awesome

ConsCan't mod cars

Having played Burnout 2 to death I was very eager to get my hands on this title. Beware this game - Once you have played it solidly for a few days you have to re-adjust to reality. It is not a good idea to tailgate someone to gain a boost, driving on the wrong side of the road is not big or...

ConsNo proper replays

Burnout 3: Takedown is a third instalment in a popular arcade series for the consoles. This game, as the name suggests, has a huge focus on takedowns, which means taking out your opponents by crashing them into walls, other cars or anything else you can find on the road. The gameplay is very fast...

ConsNot so great for multiplayer

I have spent over 40 hours playing on burnout 3s single player. The races in it are top notch allthough i am not so keen on the Crash events. I have completed the game and unlocked every car except 1. The graphics are super. Allthough I can't really comment on the Online play because I do not...
