Necropolis by Anthony Horowitz

Advantages: The language and the story-line is reallly intriguing.
Disadvantages: I honestly cannot think of any.

Necropolis, written by Anthony Horowitz, is the fourth installment of the "Power of Five", 5 book series about 5 children who have the power to save the world from evil creatures called "The Old Ones". The book starts before "Nightrise" ends, but from the point of view of Scarlett Adams, the protaganist and the fifth gatekeeper. There is a brief review of all 4 previous books incase the reader cannot remember or has missed a book out in the series, which I found very useful since I read the previous book about a year before this one. It starts off straight into the action as a 13 year old Scarlett almost gets hit by a van whilst not looking when crossing a road. She is saved by a mysterious chinese man who disappears before she can thank him for his actions. The book then moves 2 years into the future and Scarlett is on a school trip ...

Review of The Power of Five: Necropolis - Anthony Horowitz

A terrific work by Anthony Horowitz

Advantages: You meet all different worlds with a great plot `
Disadvantages: Not as scary as you thought

Nightrise is a novel by Anthony Horowitz, and is the third book in "The power of five" series, after "Evil Star" and "Raven's Gate". Unlike the two books preceding it, this book follows Scott and Jamie Tyler, telepathic twins. I find this strange to have two of the five in one book, because it was one per book in the other two. Although the book is about both Jamie and Scott, Scott plays only a very small role, and speaks even less (15 lines at the most), but that may be due to the fact he was kidnapped (always helps people say less). I find this book to be less scary and supernatural than the other two, which is strange, because the front cover looks very evil (but don't judge a book by it's cover). In this book, the timeline starts to get a little confusing, especially as there are actually three worlds that the story takes ...

Scorpia - Anthony Horowitz

Advantages: Great meaning of the Title
Disadvantages: None

Now in this book, i havent got all the way through but i've got half way through and at the moment, its brilliant. This book is written by Anthony Horowitz. Here is a bit about it. If you read in Eagle Strike, Yassen Gregorovich said to Alex: Go to Venice. Fine Scorpia. And you will find your destiny... So he is on a school trip in Venice with his mate Tom beside him. He escapes from his tutor to go off to find Scorpia. He goes onto this boat which he gets caught and gets put in a room which fills up with water with no place to escape. Except through the water. He escapes. He meets up with Tom again on the train and Toms mate helps him get to a Base. Not a scorpia base. Consanto Enterprises. He gets caught and is taken TO Scorpia. He is then offered to join Scorpia which his father joined and got killed. Will he join Scorpia ...
