Burt originally from New York City, moved to rural Maine, moved into a cabin and took up the hobby of beekeeping. After storing the bee's wax, Burt and his good friend Roxanne had an idea to use it to make candles and lip balms. They would sell them at local crafts fairs, and these products soon became a huge hit, that they had to move to a bigger place to make their products.

--- THE LIPS GLOSS ---
I have tried other products from Burt's bees so thought that I would give there lip gloss a go. I am a big lover of my gloss, and some might say hard to please.
The gloss comes in four different flavours, raspberry, strawberry lemon and lime and cherry. I purchased the cherry flavour. It comes in a little tin, with a picture of what flavour you have chosen on the lid, so mine had a cherry on it. You get 7gm in the tin, which isn't much, but a little goes a long way.
On first opening the lip gloss, the smell was wonderful; it smelt good enough to eat! I applied the required amount to my lips and look into the mirror to see the effect. The result? Lovely shiny and most importantly kissable lips. The lip gloss is not too greasy like some can be and it asorbs really well and after using it for around three days it also helped my chapped lips.
Also when I have applied the lips gloss, my lips feel slightly tingly for a few seconds, and it's strange it's like there buzzing! The lip gloss lasted a long time on the lips, i always over apply the amount i need, but i would say you would need to re apply it after drinks and food.
So what's in this lip gloss to make my lips so wonderful I hear you?! Well the ingredients are Grape seed oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, coco butter, natural cherry flavour, vitamin E, rosemary extract.

Well like I said previously, I am hard to please when it comes down to the lip gloss, but this product has got my thumbs up from me. It smells great, helps my dry lips and gives them a great shine. It comes in a handy tin that's easily carried around in your bag or pocket and it's made from natural and earth friendly products.
The only problem I have with the lip gloss, it that the container is sometimes hard to open, and if you have long nails like me you find that you are taking chunks out of the gloss while sticking your finger in!!
I paid, £4.50 for my gloss from HQhair.com, but I do know there are a few shops on eBay that are selling it and you might get it cheaper.
I say give it a go I've had my pot for just over a month now and it's coming to the last bits, I do apply it at every opportunity , so I guess you do get your money's worth.
I will be buying my second lot soon!
