First off, allow me to pre-emptively diminish any threats to my masculinity. This was my present to my girlfriend, however I'm counting myself as a consumer due to my cat-killing curiosity and what can only be described as harassment with cosmetics.

Anyway, this thoroughly therapeutic honey and shea body butter is exactly that. It has a creamy texture and the thoroughly therapeutic part starts from the second you remove the lid and are encountered with that undeniable aroma of honey. I'm not talking fake honey though, much like the sorry excuse for 'strawberry' or 'chocolate' you can get in some other products, if you look at the label you will see that this product boasts 99.05% natural ingredients so it is REAL honey.
Now, while this might seem that amazing to those of you out there that do not particularly like the smell of honey or body butter, you can't deny that it adds to the feel good factor of buying something if the majority of it is natural.

Why honey?
This was one of my sceptical questions when buying it for my girlfriend, what's the big deal? what makes honey so special? But after research it turns out that, since ancient times, honey has been used to treat cases of dry skin and has even been found to speed up the healing process (this was my newly learnt thing for the day)... and it smells great.

Ok, I could probably go on and on about the smell of this butter, in fact it's one of those products with which you want to whip out a spoon despite knowing it can never be but I think the most important thing to address is:
Does it actually work?
"Rid your body of rough skin with this ultra-rich body butter" is what is suggested as it promises to leave you skin "feeling soft, smooth and supple." Well, you need but only look at the customers responses on the Burt's bees website (using the link below) to see the amazing reception it has received and I know that, while confidently strutting around smelling as sweet as she is (too much cheese?) that she certainly agrees even with the small amount that I have tried left a satisfied patch of skin with a lasting fragrance.

I'm aware that I'm speaking very highly of this product and I have to be honest a lot of my very optimistic girlfriend is coming through, but I am very happy with my purchase, (for the last time) the smell is amazing, it genuinely does what it says on the tin from the second you take off the lid and although the price may be a little steep, you do get a lot for it and I'm sure it's about the amount women spend on cosmetics anyway at £10 a pop.

This is definitely something I recommend but please don't just take my word for it: (as there is a redundancy of reviews for this product... oh and remove the space)
