A 85g tub of Burt's Bees Hand Salve costs £8 and can be purchased from Boots. I do think this is quite pricy, although my small tub has lasted quite some time, so I imagine the full sized one would last well.

The hand salve comes in a yellow tub featuring a picture of a bearded man - Burt I assume. I was quite surprised when I saw the full sized tub of this in Boots, as it is huge - really wide, and doesn't look particularly convenient to be carrying around with you.
When I took the seal off the tub and smelled the hand salve, I was really pleased that this one smelled a lot nicer. The hand salve is made from 98.05% natural ingredients, and contains sweet almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, vitamin E, comfrey root extract, rosemary oil, lavandin oil and eucalyptus oil, so as you can see, packed with natural goodness.
I actually think the hand salve smells a bit like lemons (even though it doesn't contain them!) but one of the main smells in there is the rosemary oil, which gives it a fresh, natural scent.
The product itself is a very pale yellowy balm, and it is fairly thick in the tub, but I found when massaging it into my hands, only a small amount of the product is needed as it spreads easily across the skin.
My main gripe with this product is that it is very greasy. It doesn't really absorb into the skin very quickly, and leaves a greasy film. This is obviously a huge downside, as it means you stick to anything you touch, and the hands remain slippery for some time after use. I have therefore started to use this as an overnight hand cream, and apply it before going to bed.
I find that in the mornings I wake up to beautifully soft skin. The hand salve is also very moisturising, and gets rid of the dryness that I often get during the colder months.

Obviously the most negative thing about it is the speed (or lack of speed) at which it absorbs. I find this makes it quite inconvenient to use, and I couldn't take it to work with me or anything like that. I do find though, if I apply it before bed, it leaves my hands moisturised throughout the whole of the next day, so that more than makes up for it.
Burt’s Bees Hand Salve: Another one of my little Burt’s Bees product this hand salve is one my favourites. It comes in a cute 0.30oz tin as it’s a trial size; the full size tin is 0.60oz. The tin is silver in colour and has a yellow label featuring Burt himself. The tin is easy enough to open, it is so easy in fact that I was worried it would come open in my bag but this has never happened in several months of use. The smell is so lovely. It has ... ...it smells so great; it contains almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, Vitamin E, comfrey root extract, rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus! I have the tin in front of me and I just can’t stop sniffing it. The texture is waxy but soft enough to be able to apply easily. As soon as it meets the warmth of your skin it melts allowing it to soak into the skin reasonably quickly. Having said that it does make your hands feel a little greasy for about 10 minutes ...

Advantages: Lovely smell, Super nourishing, cute tin, fab company Disadvantages: zero!
Burt's Bees hand salve is a god-send in a little tin. Not only can it be used for hands that need a little bit of TLC, but for all other areas of dry skin you may have. The product is packed full of natural and high quality ingredients including almond oil, olive oil, beeswax and vitamin E Oil. All which help nourish and moisturise damaged or cracked skin. You can really feel it sinking into to any problem areas. I even use it as a lip balm when ... ...instantly. It has the same consistency as solid perfume which is great as it lasts for ages. The smell is lovely and natural, you can definitely smell the rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus oils coming through. I received my hand salve in a travel kit which contained several products. You can buy it on it's own for around £6 which is very reasonable for a multi-purpose product that you will wander how you ever lived without it! ...

Burt's Bees Hand Salve. 8.5g mini pocket / travel size.
Burt's Bees strive to create 100% all natural products. A large majority of their range is 100% all natural. This hand balm is 99.05% How many products on the market can make that claim?
This item was created to sooth dry, chapped hands and it does just that.
The handy tin is quite flat so wil pop easily into handbag or purse. The balm-like salve melts instantly upon touch so it's easy to ... ...make the hands feel greasy at all. I use it on both hands and feet with great results of smoother, better feeling skin which lasts quite a while (probably due to the beeswax creating a bit of a barrier).
The smell is quite different. I think it's a bit like Marmite in respect of you either love it or hate it. Upon first whiff it is a little strong, however it does fade. It smells medicinal, sort of minty like old fashioned cough-drops. Overall a ...

Advantages: feels great, goes on smooth, smells awesome, heals lips fast Disadvantages: if lips are cracked when you apply, lips will bleed
I've heard many great things about the Burt's Bees line, and how they use natural ingredients such as beeswax (duh) to help with the natural healing of lips. That's why, when I was at my local shop, I picked up a pack of Burt's Bees sample items. It included some handsalve, face scrub, and the worldwide known Beeswax Lip Balm.
The entire kit cost me about 9.00, but it was well worth it, for trying out some of the famous lip balm. After going home and unpacking the samples, I picked up the lipbalm, which was in a bright yellow-orange colored tube, and uncapped it, where the actual lip balm is clear.
The first time I had used the lip balm, I was amazed at the tingy feeling and minty smell that was on my lips. If I had licked my lips, my tongue would be tingly, yet still smell nice! My lips were smooth for a long time, until, I can ...
