I played this not long after playing GTA3 as I was hoping for something of a similar style. Bad mistake to make.
Driver is exactly what is says. It's purely driving to certain points to complete your mission. You should generally avoid the police as chances are you will be speeding and they're far from easy to shake. The most disappointing thing is that although you're told what the mission is you don't see much story even in the shoddy cutscenes and it doesn't even feel like you're taking part in one.
Driver consists of you driving from one point to another then back. That is repeated throughout the entire game and it never changes, it's completely and utterly mundane. Advantages: original, good gameplay, also cheap Disadvantages: outdated, very old
Driver is a driving similator set in three large cities. You play the part of an undercover cop on the wrong side of the law. The game is addictable and fun, but maintains a realistic feel and can be humourous at times.
Unfortunately as the game progresses it loses its originality and tends to become boring with a repetition of missions, and predictable gameplay.
However driver has unique concepts and is original, and if completed to the end, should provide hundreds of hours of gameplay.
Driver is challenging but not too hard, patients may be required at times.
Since Driver is a playstation convert, set on a large scale, the graphics tend to lack sharpness, and buildings tend to be a sinegle block, with not much attention to detail, however travelling at breakneck speeds whilst being chased by the cops, provides a healthy ...
