Model: RF6682VPL I must be a big fan of Aldi! Last Christmas (2001) I bought our silver 28" widescreen and flatscreen television. It cost £399 in the 'Thursday Special Buys'. I had to queue outside the store to buy it, as it was popular. Now I know why......
~~~~~~COST~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I paid £399 for mine at Aldi. This is very good value for money-especially for a flatscreen! The same TV is now sold in the Argos catalogue at the same price. (Autumn/winter) Or, it is available in the Littlewoods Index autumn/winter catalogue for £449 if you feel like paying more!
~~~~~~FEATURES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On screen display - menus and clocks that pop up Auto tuning Sleep timer - I’ve never used mine Child lock 2 scart sockets A headphone socket Fastext Virtual Dolby pro-logic 16:9/4:3 selectable format - Different screen sizes (zoom in, out etc)
~~~~~WHAT IT COMES WITH~~~~~~
A stand - 2 Black glass shelves (You have to assemble this yourself) A stylish silver remote with a large number of buttons (I don’t even use half of them!) Instruction Booklet - Easy to follow (Hooray!)
~~~~~WHAT IT’S LIKE~~~~~~~~~~~~
This television has a great picture that is very clear and detailed. The sound quality is great when watching action movies or listening to music. The top of the TV has a discreet line of five touch buttons. These are: Standby, volume up, volume down, channel up, channel down. These light up yellow/green when the TV is on. They look a lot more stylish than having a load of ugly buttons along the bottom of the TV. Underneath the screen there is only the power on/off button and the shiny silver BUSH logo.
Well what can I say, it was a great deal and personally I still find it better looking than most other widescreen TV’s. I can see my Bush television sticking with me for a long time.

Advantages: Cheap, digital compatible, no need for external boxes Disadvantages: Takes a while to work out the remote unless you have a child handy in which case they have it mastered in five minutes
