Advantages: Adjustable degree of toasting Disadvantages: Uneven toasting on sides of bread
...The Tefal Classic toaster provides for 2slices of standard size bread. It has a facility to adjust the height of the 'pop-up' when the toasting is done. So, if crumpets or smaller slices are put in, the adjustment allows them to be popped up to the height of the top, and not be left within the toaster (so saving burnt fingers trying to retrieve them!) Generally it performs well. However, it does not toast evenly. The inner elements do not glow very red at all. The result is bread that is unevenly toasted. The degree of toasting can be adjusted with an electronic device. This works quite well, allowing for a light toasting to well burnt! The evenness of toasting as mentioned before is what lets it down. The crumb tray is modest. Most of the crumbs are caught and can be emptied easily. The cable can be tidied underneath, but never seems...

Advantages: Hot food in minutes Disadvantages: Plates could be bigger
...sandwiches at the same time and also something that would blend in with our black/chrome accessories.
***The Machine***
The external area of this machine is mainly black with a silver panel on top along with a red and a green light. When it is switched on at the mains the red light comes on until it is heated up, at which time it goes over to the green light.
This signals the time to put your buttered bread and fillings in before closing the lid and waiting between 5 and 10 minutes for it to cook it. The lid clips underneath to hold everything in place and there is a central section that diagonally 'cuts' your two slices of bread in half.
To check to see if it is ready, you just have to unclip the lid and lift it up. It is advisable not to lift your toastie out with a metal implement as you may scratch the non-stick plates.

Advantages: Attractive, easy to pour, quick to boil Disadvantages: loud when boiling
...We purchased this kettle to accompany the red dualit 2-slice toaster and it looks every bit as smart in the kitchen!
At £50 it was more expensive than we would normally buy but am glad we spent the money on a quality product.
Has an adequate water capacity and one of the best features is the easy-to-pour spout - gone are the days when boiling water spills on the counter when pouring!
The stainless steel kettle does not mark with finger prints or water marks as easily as some other kettles which ensures that the kettle looks clean and shiny, even with alot of use.
The lid however, can be a little stiff at times and the top of the kettle where you fill it with water is narrow which can be fidlely.
The base which the kettle sits on does not appear to fit as snuggly as it could but these are small picky points which should not take away...
