...found what I wanted the Bush DVD2041!

It had the features that I was after and the price was reasonable.

What it plays:

I needed a DVD player for my room, and so I decided to take to the streets and search for one.

I checked in Argos without any luck; but when I checked in Tesco I found what I wanted the Bush DVD2041!

It had the features that I was after and the price was reasonable.

The Scart cable is the best way to connect a DVD player to the TV, as it gives the best audio and visual output, Scart cables are around £4.99 (cheapest I saw from Argos.co.uk). When a DVD player is connected via the Scart cable, when you turn it on, the TV will automatically go to its AV channel.

The remote control is easy to use and all buttons are labelled the most useful bits on the remote (excluding basic functions) are:

-Repeat, you select what you want it to repeat and it does.
-Slow, you can play it in slow motion.
-Zoom, you can zoom in on your pictures and even on the DVD.
-Volume, great if you have lost the remote to the TV or if the TV doesn’t have a remote.
-Angle, you can rotate the photos
-Subtitle, you can easily put them on and off

The DVD player its self is very stylish, silver in colour and when on the buttons on it light up in a trendy neon-blue colour; very nice indeed. It is a slim-line DVD player and dimensions are 24cm deep x 43 cm long x 3.9cm high.

The user guide is easy to follow and included diagrams. The subjects included in this are: Safety Instructions, Parts and Controls, Getting Started, The Remote Control, Connecting to External Equipment, Connecting to a mono television, Compatible Disks, Inserting a Disk, Menu Systems, DVD Player Functions, Special Functions, Care and Maintenance, Guarantee.

The DVD Player comes with a 12-month guarantee.

The price I paid was around £45.

The only thing that lets this machine down is the fact it has no LED display thing on the frount, which would have made it even better as you can see what scene your are on ect. But that is only a bonus not a necessity.

My Thoughts:

This is a reliable machine with great picture quality, the remote is very easy to use and all of it is labelled. The user manual was easy to read and simple to follow. The disk tray is very thin and sometimes it can be difficult to get the disk in since some of the tray is still in the player when open, so you have to slide the disk in a small bit. The plastic the tray is made off is good as whereas on some players it is a solid but brittle plastic, this one is quite strong and slightly flexy, so would stand more pressure than normal ones. The fact that there is no LED display doesn't hinder me and navigation through a disk is easy.

All in all I would recommend that if you are after a new DVD player then this is what you want. Great machine!
