Before I bought this DVD player Id never really owned a DVD player before. I had however had and still do have a ps2 on which I used to play my DVDs.
I never really went and still don’t go on this so much so I was going to sell it and buy a DVD player.
In the end I decided to just keep the ps2 and to get a cheaper DVD player than I was looking for in the first place.

The main reason why I wanted a new DVD instead of the one in the ps2 was so I could play divx format DVDs on it. The DVD player in a ps2 doesn’t recognise this format and scene as I have several divx movies already on disk and on my laptop to put onto disk then I wanted a DVD player that would recognise and play this format.
Another plus to this format is that it saves space on disks as it compresses movies into smaller file sizes without compromising on the quality of the movie, so effectively you can get several movies onto one disk rather than just one on each disk as you can with normal DVD players.

The first place I went looking for one of these was Argos simply because its one of the easiest places to get things like this from and its also quite cheap too. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this one for just £24.99. It was there cheapest and I think there only DVD player that could actually play divx format DVDs, so without further ado I purchased the DVD player.

This is quite a small, sleek and cool looking DVD player too. Its nice silver finish and glass like mirrored front makes this DVD player look so modern and really good.
The DVD tray set in the middle of the DVD player ejects your DVDs at the press of a button, and there are also a few other buttons on the front of there which can be used in case you loose the remote that comes with it.

There is also a nice VFD DVD display built into the left hand side of the DVD player. This is unnoticeable when the DVD players not on, but when on, this lights up and gives details such as the time of the movie.

Altogether I think this is a fantastic DVD player, and its really cheap too, it looks great and has amazing features so I would really advise this to anyone whose thinking about getting a new DVD player.
Even if you don’t need to use its divx features, then this is still an amazing DVD player anyway and is worth the buy.
