We didn't think we could afford an LCD TV but ... ...tight budget. We looked at a few and thought we had found one we liked (a Samsung - apologies I have forgotten the model) until my fiance saw this this fellow. It was modern, it could be wall mounted, and if it was on a stand it didn't take up much room at all. Compared to other TVs in our budget it had 2 stand-out bonuses - 2 Scart sockets and even more impressively an HDMI socket.

We didn't think we could afford an LCD TV but we went shopping around for one nonetheless with an extremely tight budget. We looked at a few and thought we had found one we liked (a Samsung - apologies I have forgotten the model) until my fiance saw this this fellow. It was modern, it could be wall mounted, and if it was on a stand it didn't take up much room at all. Compared to other TVs in our budget it had 2 stand-out bonuses - 2 Scart sockets and even more impressively an HDMI socket.
We got it home and threw everything we could think of through it. Analogue TV, Digital TV, Games Systems, DVDs, Videos and our PC.
It handles Digital TV fairly well. If you are up-close then the picture suffers and appears really pixelated but as you step back further the picture becomes a lot clearer. If you watch a lot of TV then it would be worth spending more on a TV with a better pixel ratio and contrast ratio - but we didn't buy the TV for watching programs. It was bought with DVDs and games consoles in mind.
Don't let the low TV picture quality or low contrast ratio put you off!!! The TV picture is absolutely watchable unless your chairs and sofas are less than 5-6 feet away. I recommend sit at least 6 feet away. We have this TV in a room roughly 12x18 feet - with the closet chair roughly 7.5-8 feet away and the picture is fine enough for us when we are rarely watching TV.
Anyway - to films and consoles! As soon as this TV is plugged into a DVD player or games console you start to think...wait a minute, did they sell me the wrong TV? Surely with picture quality this good it should be worth more than £360!?!
The DVD quality is superb. Crystal clear picture and sound. As for games - even through the component socket, AV or Scart socket the picture is very sharp and very deep. The tiniest of details are picked up, blades of grass with lighting effects on them for example, lighting effects, sound effects, clarity of speech and music all combine to give us a dream TV for an unbelievable price. And when you connect through an HDMI cable that things start to look even prettier and sound even sharper!
I use my TV for Xbox 360 and DVD mostly and they work so well together!
For DVDs and Games - it doesn't matter how close you sit to the TV the picture quality is great. Obviously if you get within a daft distance the quality suffers but if you need to sit that close to a 32 inch TV then pay Optical Express a visit and try again! The only things I haven't tried are HD-DVD or Blue Ray...but I'm sure they will make me love my TV even more.
The TV is built in with about 4 or 5 pre-set contrast settings which you can flick through at any time. What you can do to improve/amend picture lighting/contrast/brightness etc is change the set up [as per all TVs]. I have done this and I now have one set up for watching football matches, one for playing games, one for watching movies.
The same goes for the sound - there are presets but you can change the parameters so you can get it just how you want it! We bought a budget surround system to go with it. We don't use the small surround speakers anymore, we've found its better to utilise the TV's built in speakers and connect the bass box from our surround system to the TV, enhancing the body and volume of the sound. Giving a more evenly distributed and more sonically pleasing experience.
Recommend? Definitely

Then why 4 stars? Because for the amount this TV can do it costs absolutely nothing and it is absolutely perfect for us.
But why 4 and not 5 stars? Because most people buy TVs to watch TV - unlike us. This TV lags in the TV channel department. The picture isn't as crisp as many TVs out there for a little more money.Below is a list of features as per box&instruction book

I purchased this TV at the beginning of the year from Argos for the price of £450 as it included built-in Freeview. I have seen this tv in local stores brand-new from as little as £350 so the price has decreased over the last year quite considerably, making this TV excellent value for money. Looks wise I don't think this TV set meets todays requirements It's not as modern and sleek as other TV sets on the market at the moment but it's still pleasent ... ...remote again, just a plain grey remote nothing special but matches the TV fine!
Picture and sound wise I do not have any problems at all. I am very impressed with the quality especially through the xbox 360 that we own as you can then benefit from the HD setting and the picture becomes crystal clear!
Installation of the TV was easy, I don't think we even needed the instructions! Although like most TV's if you sit on the remote by accident and something ...

Advantages: Excellent quality picture and crystal clear sound Disadvantages: Would be better wall mounted.
We have recently purchased the Bush LCD32TV022HD and find this item good value for money. Having a considerably large screen, , the quality of picture does not decline at all, as some screen's unfortunately do.. Crystal clear sound. A simple, Realistic set up, With no pulling out hair activity!. And addition to all of that, It has a silver, Super modern funky look, to accessorise your living room.
However there is always a "but" to follow!, As fantastic ... ...think it would compliment this TV even more if it was optional to come wall mounted, then it would be really ideal!.

Quick review of Bush Idlcd 32 TV 22 HD
TV sometime switches itself on in the middle of the night or a buzzing comes from it and you have to press the on/off switch again to stop it buzzing. I contacted Bush and they initially said it was a software problem but then changed their minds and said that it was other models they had had problems with not this one - funny they knew the exact time it switched itself on (3.00am)!!!!!! ...

...problem , so i rang Bush and they sent me another , guess what it was the same , I rang Bush yet again and they told me to get in touch with Argos They told me that because i had dealt with Bush i had invalidated the guarantee . I told them that they told me to deal with Bush but they did not want to know and said i had been misinformed and couldn't do anything about it . I am now waiting for yet another from Bush but i am not very enthusiastic about ...

i bought this 3 days ago from argos for £399 and it is very good, ill start of on a bad point and finish on a good well 1st bad the main one is picture quality up close its not to bad but sit about 5 foot away, there is only 1 scart socket but form good retailers you an get a scart adapter for £ 9.99 so there all the bad things i have to say. now the good points, sound quality is excellent even though i have it connected to speakers :) , the instructions ... ...set up you dont need them. This tv is excellent for value recently had a £200 price cut and is available in smaller sizes and an aditional £50 for freeview . I have plugged in a ps2 xbox 360 dvd player video player sky plus box and the picture is same. The flat screen also makes your room look much bigger . So plenty of space. best off all the sun shines always through my window but i can keep the blinds open now because the screen is so clear ...
