i got mine some 6/7 years ago from a catalogue and was suprised at how quick it boils. Very handy for other uses as well as there are no elements in side as they in the base unit. Being stainless it always shines and of course no paint to peel off. This can boil a pint of water quicker than if i use the gas hob. You can get ya hand inside to scour it if its chalked up and has never let me down. Id buy another if it went wrong. I didnt think id get more than a few from it but its still going strong and has been used to boil soup when the gas was off. You dont see kettles like this these days as they are all tapered and no chance of getting your hand inside to clean. Give me stainless any day.
