To arrange for Business Post to come in is pretty simple. You call the sales number 08451 552 552, and they will arrange for you to be put through to the depot nearest to you. They do accept credit cards but most business they do is through accounts.

I have only ever used Business Post parcel services and UK Today so they are the only ones i can review.
--Business Post-- There are a range of services to choose from including before 9am, next day and saturday delivery. Depending on how specific your needs are will determine how much you pay. As we use these everyday at work we get pretty cheap rates although i dont think it is too expensive just to do one off shipments. We have a consignment book that has to be filled in for every consignment going out. You only have to complete address details, package details and service requirements. Each consignment is given a tracking number. You can track your shipment online or call the number on the book, more about that later. -Collections- To arrange for Business Post to come in is pretty simple. You call the sales number 08451 552 552, and they will arrange for you to be put through to the depot nearest to you. They do accept credit cards but most business they do is through accounts. Once you have an account set up with them (which is pretty simple, just fill in and sign a form and they do the rest of the work) you can also arrange collections on-line at www.business-post.com. This is probably the most simple way of arranging a collection although you need to set up an on-line account with them. To arrange a collection online you just need your account number, and the post code of where the shipment is going to. Pretty simple stuff, again you are given a tracking number so you can track as soon as they collection has been made right up until delivery. If you find you are having collections everyday you can arrange for the driver to come in every day without having to arrange them everyday. This is simply done by either speaking to the driver himself or by calling your local depot.
-Tracking- As you have your tracking number you can track your parcel in 2 ways. Either online or by calling your local dept. I have always found the online option to be easier as there is no holding for someone to answer the phone. The online tracking gives you up to date information including when it was last scanned and where the package is at the moment. Once the shipment has been delivered you can get a copy of the signature of the person who signed for the parcel. This is a good idea but is only available for a couple of days after it has been delivered. If there have been any problems with the delivery then they would also be on here.
-Delivery- There are not many problems with delivery using the next day service. I would say they deliver approx 95% of all the deliveries ontime. They seem to have a problem with times deliveries. I understand that the drivers have a lot of deliveries to do in that day but they should not offer a service that they know they cant complete. Business to home address i have found can also be a problem. These normally take longer than the next day service they offer for business to business.
-3rd Party Collections- On the odd occasion i have had to use the 3rd party collection service. Arranging for them to collect from a customer and bring back to our office. They sometimes take upto 2 days to collect. There is no real reason for why it taks so long but i get told 'the company was not open for us to collect' which always amazes me as its collecting from a company that is open 24 hours a day.
-Problems- There are only a few minor problems i have found with Busines Post. 1-During busy periods you can be holding on the phone forever. I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone on hold to be told everyone was on their lunch 2-Third party collection, as detailed above 3-Sticking to timed deliveries
--UK Today-- UK Today are a same day collection and delivery divion of Business Post. I have only used them twice but both of these times have been a bit of a let down. I had asked them to confirm when they had delivered. When i didnt get a call after a couple of hours i had to call them which i dont expect. If you need a sameday delivery then it must be pretty urgent. Maybe they are busy, in that case they have to employ someone just to send POD's to their customers.
All in all they are a pretty good company. Anyone calling Fed-Ex and asking them to do UK to UK shipments will be told to use Business Post which can only add to their good reputation.
Advantages: I didn't have to pay for this delivery Disadvantages: Damaged goods
Driver just threw the boxes out of the van, didn't even bring them to the door, just left them on a shared drive. The result being a damaged parcel.
DO NOT USE
I've nothing else to say yet I have to put 120words, I'm sure you can think of 120 un-complimentary words of your own for this poor service.

Review of Business Post
Advantages: None that i can see Disadvantages: Customer service, late deliveries, lying to customers
My dealings with business post have only ever been as the recipient of goods where a retail firm has used them to dispatch said goods to me. They are never able to give even an estimate of delivery time, and their customer service agents have often been rude and unhelpful, refusing, it seems, to deviate at all from their scripted response to problems. Lately i ordered some pershiable items (food) that were dispatched via them, and was in all day ... ...Business Post lied, stating that a driver had called at my house, and finding no-one in, had left a note - this did not happen, and i received no note through my letterbox.
I always think that the measure of a company is how they resolve issues, and through all of my experiences to date, problems are rarely resolved without them arguing, implying that i am a liar when i disagree with them, or generally being abusive. I have never had any of these ...

Review of Business Post
Advantages: None! Disadvantages: Poor customer service - poor service in general - Depot is miles away from anywhere
Business post are easily the worst courier 'service' I have had the misforture of being forced to deal with.
I have (or rather I havenot ) recently had 2 separate deliveries through business post. The first failed because the driver of the van never left any failed delivery cards so by the time I rang the suppiler the order had been sent back to them.
The second failure was an order for alloy wheels - This time I did receive the card stating the ... ...the wrong section of the slip so I had to go on the internet to find a number to call to arrange collection of the delivery.
Upon phoning the main office I spoke to a member of staff who stated the address of the depot (over 25 miles away from me) and that the order could be collected between 6:30 and 8:00pm. I drove all the way to the deopt to be advised in the most care free manor that I would have to wait for the staff there to finish loading/unloading ...

Advantages: none what so ever Disadvantages: unable to deliver goods less then 10 miles from depot
...items for presents I called Business Post and arranged delivery for Friday and again left instructions for the parcel to be left over the fence. When I returned from work on the Friday there was no parcel and no failed delivery card meaning they hadn't even attempted to deliver! I called and complianed and was told the item would be delivered over the weekend and definetly by Christmas Eve.... it was no surprise that on returning home on Christmas ... ...Business 6 times now and they have failed to delivery a parcel on 4 'promised consignments', one of the sales girls even read the message that reads 'delivery Fri 21st Dec if not in leave over fence' to me. I have asked BP why, as a courier company, they are unable to deliver a parcel to an address less then 10 miles from their main depot. Thier response is that they dont have any drivers in this area. I gave them a way round it and said i'd do their ...

We started using Business Post as they were called then earlier this year, the first deliver was never received by the customer, which we took as first time dealings, so after arguments and legal threats (by them not us) Business Post agreed to give us a credit note for the outstanding amount despite us asking for a cheque so we can take our business elsewhere.
They picked up 4 packages without us using a special book that they never sent to us ... ...did not equate to what business we had done.
The National Manager Rob Earthy is by far the worst customer service manager in the country, I ask him to stand up online and defend his actions if these is any untruth in this review because he ignored my emails when I asked for details on the same.
You can check other sites doing online review sites and you will find similar negative reports about their poor quality service. ...

;t get delivered today", what I got instead were stories of drivers getting lost, misplacing notes for guaranteed deliveries, that they had just phoned in and were 10 minutes from my house. Yet, they still managed to turn a 24 hour delivery into a seven day hell. I don't live on Bodmin Moor, just a mere 20 minute drive from the aforementioned Bristol Depot, where the staff veered from ultra helpful (the final guy I spoke with) to rude and bored sounding (mostly everyone else).
The package finally did arrive, and looked like it had been present at the D-Day landings, torn, shredded, gnarled etc. I've had experience with many other courier firms, none worse than City-Link, but all better, with ANC and TNT topping the favourites list.
Addition as of 27th January, BusinessPost managed to take 3 weeks not to deliver a package to one ...

Advantages: Better value banking Disadvantages: none
-- Background --
I've been a customer with smile for just over a year and I have a number of accounts with them. I have daily access to the internet and a very convenient post office that is not busy.
-- Convenience --
For day to day banking I have found smile just as good if not more convenient than a traditional bank. However, the convenince for the individual depends on their internet access and closest post office. Regular internet access is necessary if you like to keep and eye on your accounts.
As transactions such as lodgements are carried out through the post office (or by post) a nearby, not too busypost office is useful, especially if you are opening a current account and will need to make lodgements on a regular basis.
-- Financial Benefits --
Just about all internet banks offer very competitive rates ...

Advantages: Categorically, unequivocally- NONE. Zip, zilch, zippo!! Disadvantages: Wasted time; professional liars; rudeness; arrogance- you name it.
I'll keep this review concise and to the point. Two days of waiting around, countless telephone calls to (politely) enquire as to where my package is, constant frustration.
I have never experienced such a low standard of service from a delivery courier service in my life. I've shopped on the Internet for over seven years now, and have 'used' many companies, including: BusinessPost; City Link; DHL; UPS; Parcelforce; Royal Mail; and Parceline. I had the misfortune of 'using' Amtrak a couple of years ago, and that resulted in my parcel being delayed by a few days (and only got it after several 'phone calls to the supposed Head Office).
Last Friday...
Unfortunately, I didn't know that the online retailer used Amtrak, so imagine my dismay when I received the despatch email; I knew there'd be problems, but didn't anticipated this ...
