Advantages none what so ever
Disadvantages unable to deliver goods less then 10 miles from depot
I ordered 3 items from one company well before Christmas in time for a Christmas delivery. I left instructions that 'if not in leave over garden fence'. I returned from work Thursday before Christmas to a failed delivery card.
As I really needed the items for presents I called Business Post and arranged delivery for Friday and again left instructions for the parcel to be left over the fence. When I returned from work on the Friday there was no parcel and no failed delivery card meaning they hadn't even attempted to deliver! I called and complianed and was told the item would be delivered over the weekend and definetly by Christmas Eve.... it was no surprise that on returning home on Christmas Eve there was no delivery.I have called Business 6 times now and they have failed to delivery a parcel on 4 'promised consignments', one of the sales girls even read the message that reads 'delivery Fri 21st Dec if not in leave over fence' to me.
I have asked BP why, as a courier company, they are unable to deliver a parcel to an address less then 10 miles from their main depot. Thier response is that they dont have any drivers in this area. I gave them a way round it and said i'd do their job for them and go and collect the parcel but would expect petrol money for my efforts as it seems this is the only way they will be able to get the parcel to me as I am unable to change the delivery address to a Central London address...... they declined the offer.I have now left it with a lady TRYING TO FIND MY PARCEL in the warehouse so she can arrange another delivery ...... this has been going on for almost 2 weeks, I have had to dissapoint 3 people over Christmas due to having no present for them and I have paid for goods I am yet to recieve.

My Mum has been waiting for a delivery since 11 Dec which was supposed to come via Business Post, they can't even find the parcel now.
