time Bub and Bob return to center stage as they fling bubbles from the bottom screen to the top in an attempt to match 3 bubbles causing them to pop. You have to be fast because with each second you waste deciding your next move, the rows of bubbles get lower and lower. With a multiplayer mode allowing 5 people to play via the Nintendo DS' wireless link, this Bust-a-Move will prove to be the ultimate battle party game.
Advantages: Fantastic multiplayer, great use of DS stylus Disadvantages: Options too limited, can get samey
...The previous incarnations of the Bust-A-Move games are fairly alien to me since I had never really played them. Yet I knew the basic premise for the game at least: shoot the little coloured blobs and link them up with the same little coloured blobs to make all the little coloured blobs go bye-bye. It's a tried and tested puzzle game cliché but don't let it's misleading simplicity put you off: Bust-A-Move DS is deep. So many possibilites to link chains ... ...this feature alone that makes Bust-A-Move DS worthy of your consideration. Til the last bub is fired the game remains fast-paced and frantic, and there is always a chance for a player seemingly on his last legs to fire one single bub that causes a chain which clears his entire screen and rains bub-flavoured death onto his opponents. And it's immensely satisfying to do that, I can tell you! Worth £40 of your money? Absolutely not. The game is too ...

...of background information on the Bust-a-Move series.
Bust-a-Move, or Puzzle Bobble as its known in Japan, was first released by Taito in 1994. Back then the game was only available in arcades but due to its popularity over the years, has been developed for practically every console available including, to name a few: PS1, PS2, PSP, Mobile phone, PC, SNES, Xbox, and the Nintendo DS... on which this review is based.

Other bust-a-move games will require you to use the joypad or controller to guide the 'cannon' that shoots the balls using the d-pad, but the ingenious little DS, with its dual screen utilises its ability to use its touch screen and uses a completely different approach. Using the stylus, you shoot the balls using a catapult! So now onto the game itself…

Advantages: Addictive puzzling fun, great use of touch screen Disadvantages: A bit samey, not many game modes
Bust-a-Move began its life on the SNES, as Puzzle Bobble (the US version was the one known as Bust-a-Move). It featured the same charcaters from the well known Bubble Bobble series, the two cute dinosaurs, Bub and Bob. The object of this simple game is to fire coloured bubbles from a cannon at groups of the same bubbles at the top of the screen, matching three of the same colours to pop them. Simple but fun.
The Playstation seen the release of Bust-a-Move ... ...the best parts of the Bust-a-Move game series. The Gameboy Advance seen Super Bust-a-Move, so it was only natural that Nintendo's new DS console would see a version too. Cue Bust-a-Move DS, kind of the best parts of all the previous Bust-a-Moves in DS form, with great touch screen usage.
Instead of using a cannon, you use a kind of sling, pulled back by the stylus on the touch screen and released in the direction you want the bubble to throw. This ...

Advantages: Very addictive Disadvantages: Not a long lasting appeal
Very Colourful addictive puzzle game for the DS.
The general idea is to match the same coloured bubbles to remove them from the screen.
It can be very addictive and fun to play in the different modes such as puzzle mode, endless mode and multiplayer mode where you can play against the cpu or a human.
Very cutesy graphics and music but if you look past this it is a very addictive game to play.
It could have limited longevity but is a good game ...

Ok if your lucky enough to own a Nintendo Wii you might be looking around for games to play on it. As a hardcore gamer myself I have looked around for games to play but to be honest most games for the Wii are aimed at casual, family gamers which is... more
