...descendent, Maurice Kenny.
Chapters six through nine look at the more modern Western culture, from Renaissance times (Michelangelo, Shakespeare, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz) through to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, where the names become too numerous to mention, but are well known - names such as Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, Arthur Rimbaud, Virginia Woolf, D. H. Lawrence, Dag Hammarskjold, and H.D. (HildaDoolittle).
In his introduction, Harvey likens the gay person to the mystic in that they are both risk takers and adventurers of a sort. They eschew conventionality of some sorts, even as they might embrace conventionality and tradition of a different sort. Interestingly, one of the commonalities of many mystical traditions and paths is that for a true mystical deepening and enlightenment, the masculine and feminine aspects should...

Hic! Review ofBen There Done That (Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) - Joseph Lockeby
Amy69
Advantages: interesting, unique, good length Disadvantages: not everybody's cup of tea
...Continuing to read my way through the Sabrina collection, I decided to dive into a little American History and give 'Ben There, Done That' a go after finding the information on the blurb most interesting. Was it as good as it seemed though?
Who is Sabrina?
Sabrina, played by actress Melissa Joan Hart, is a teenage witch living in the mortal realm in America, initially with her two Aunts; Hilda and Zelda, and her pet cat Salem (whom was once a warlock sentenced to 100 years as a house pet for attempted world domination). Now, she attends Westbridge High with her friends Harvey and Jenny.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a hit TV series in the 90s, with a total of eight series aired. Although it is no longer in production, it is still popular. Each episode takes us on a fascinating journey into the young witch's life, where we see her...

Tales of the Bar Review ofRumpole and the Angel of Death - John Mortimerby
luckyarchers
Advantages: Mystery and Humour! Disadvantages: None?
...Rumpole see anything the police don’t. He often does. There are a lot of twists in this story.
I found Hilda’s Story the most enjoyable in the book. While I like the author’s style of writing, where it is usually Rumpole telling the story, it made a pleasant change for his wife to be the storyteller in this chapter. She comes to the conclusion that for once Rumpole needs her help in collecting evidence. I’m not going to tell you if Rumpole appreciates her help, or whether he considers it interference. What I will tell you is that I found this story the most entertaining in this volume, because I think it is the most humorous. An odd thing to say about a murder story, I would have thought before I read it!
In Rumpole and the Little Boy Lost, he is called upon to defend someone accused of baby snatching. Although there is some humour...
